ACData's EJ2010B provides robust lightning and induced transient protection for 10/100 BaseT Ethernet circuits. The EJ2010B is designed to be used at both ends of the Ethernet circuit, thereby protecting both the switch/router and the terminal equipment.
The Multistage hybrid design uses gas tubes coordinated with bridged high capacity silicon avalanch diodes (SADs). The solid state SADs intercept the leading edge of the surge with sub-nanosecond response time. The gas tubes crowbar the brunt of the surge to ground. Our unique circuit design dramatically lowers effective capacitance, allowing much higher data rates than simple SAD circuits.
