ACData's TJ1010B provides robust lightning and induced transient protection for T1/E1/DS1 backhaul circuits. The TJ1010B is designed for use on both ends of the T1/E1/DS1 backhaul loop. Placed on the T1/E1/DS1 circuit at the Telco network interface, the TJ1010B protects the T1/E1/DS1 MUX from backend surge damage. Placed at the first piece of active cell site electronics or the digital cross-connect, the TJ1010B protects the cell site T1/E1/DS1 access equipment.
The multi-stage hybrid design uses gas tubes coordinated with bridged high capacity silicon avalanche diodes (SADs). The solid state SADs intercept the leading edge of the surge with sub-nanosecond response time. The gas tubes crowbar the brunt of the surge to ground. Our unique circuit design dramatically lowers effective capacitance, allowing much higher data rates than simple SAD circuits.
